Who I Will Be

My goals are to get my 6th form degree and then go on to university and then later go into politics. After that I plan to teach English at primary school because I believe that a good proper foundation sets the way for everything else that is to come. My dreams are that I hope to have two kids and to travel the world with my kids and show them the many beauties that the world has to offer. My roles in the future would be to be a good, patient teacher to my students, to be a good sister and daughter, to be a better citizen in my country and in this world. I plan to achieve all of this by continuing school, getting good grades and staying out of trouble. My problem starts with money...my dad cannot afford to send me to university so I will try to get a scholarship or get a job or take out a loan to pay for school. As long as it takes me to get there I will not give up. Nothing will bring me down even if it takes me years to go to school or years to raise the money to pay for my schooling. I plan to change the world by trying to open a scholarship fund for underprivileged kids and try to open a place where the homeless can stay and learn to make a decent and honest living. I plan to achieve all of this before I turn 25. I will try to get the wealthy people or help from abroad with financial help because Belize does not have the funds to help create this place or even maintain it for the longer run.

Autobiography: Who I Was

I was born on May 10, 1992 in the Belize City Hospital. My family consists of my mother, my father and my little brother. I also have a pet dog. I have lived in Corozal. Basically my whole life. I enjoyed my childhood and when i was small my dad used to take us on little adventures. My mom would play with us everyday. I cannot complain about my childhood. My past achievements include winning the library reading contest when i was about 7 years old along with my brother for the month of July where I read 49 books. I also entered a drawing contest in which I got a certificate. I have numerous certificates in reading contests, drawing contest, spelling bee contests, Boating Safety, Do the Right thing (from the police), Red Cross First Aid, and Women in Politics. I don’t have any past traumas, well any that I recall. Three milestones that I encountered was 1) when I repeated third form, 2) when my dad had an heart-attack in December about three years ago and 3) when I broke up with my ex-boyfriend because my parents did not want for us to be together. The people who influence me are my parents; they want me to do my best get a good education and a good job. I don’t have any role models.

Journal 1

The defense mechanism that I have used the most is suppression. I always suppress my feelings. I still do it now. I mostly suppress my feelings that I have for my ex-boyfriend. I still love him but its better if I move on because he is so far away and he can’t handle it. I hide my feelings because I want to move on.  Another defense mechanism that I use is intellectualization. Sometimes when I deal with people I avoid thinking about the emotional part of life and I tend to get straight to the point.  The one I would like to use less would be suppression because I don’t want to hold my feelings back I just want to be able to feel and savor the moment and not be ashamed of it and try to hold it in or try to deny it.
The neurotic need that I use the most is the neurotic need is to restrict one’s life with narrow borders.  I don’t want to be the center of attention and I am content with all I have. I don’t ask for much and I appreciate all what I have. Another neurotic need I use the most is neurotic need for self sufficiency and independence.  Sometimes I tend to isolate myself from others and if I need help I don’t ask for it because I am usually too proud for it. The neurotic need that I would like to use a little more is the neurotic need for affection and approval. I have never felt rejection or criticism well I have been rejected but I have never felt anyway about it. I want to feel what it feels like,
